Bothnan stupa

For me this is THE place - the most important Buddhist stupa outside of T. Lots of T. people come here to pray and worship. We sat for a long time in a café nearby and enjoyed the scene. Here we also said goodbye to Nepal as we flew home in the same night.

We left the mountains behind us and go back to Kathmandu by plane. We will spend one more day in the center and plan to visit the temples of Patan and the stupa of Bothnan.

Lea enjoyed our hike. I carried her all the way, like I do in Shanghai. Actually she overslept lots of the highlights we have seen. Traveling with our baby we made friends everywhere we showed up. We do not think traveling has to change just because we have children.

In the late afternoon we arrive in Ghandrug. It is a lovely village on the hillside. Next morning we will be waken by the music of the Buddhist temple with the prayer flags in the picture.
