Shangri-La is full of blossoms. The sky is blue, the air crystal clear. In the morning it’s zero degrees, while during daytime it’s warming up a lot.

Our first time stepping on Tibetan ground. Tibet is not only Lhasa, it’s actually a huge area. In Shangri-La Tibetan is spoken everywhere, there are typical houses in their style, you immediately feel the difference. And then we noticed breathing is getting difficult, because we’re now on a height of 3200 meters. The environment is stunning, but I definitely belong to the coastal area!

On our way to Shangri-La, we wanted to see how field work is done. Therefore we stopped somewhere nearby the road. Fortunately we were always followed by beautiful weather! Heio is holding barley in his hand.

The mountain in the back is 5596 meters tall and belongs to the Himalaya. Now we’re in Lijiang. We gained height, as we arrived on 2400 meter. For me it’s a new experience as my head is about to explode! Here we walked at Black Dragon Pool Park, which is famous for its view to the mountains.

Heio and his father went up to a plateau of Yulongxue Shan. You have a great view and, what’s quite unusual, almost no people around!

On our first day in Dali, we did a boat trip on Erhai lake and visited a small island. There was this temple where I took a photo of this beautiful colored walls.

Before we’ve been to Dali, we stayed a few days in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province. Today we took a flight towards the Himalaya. Dali is a smaller city up on a height of 1899 meter, but still huge, with its three million habitants. We saw its beautiful old city and the nearby Erhai lake.
